Privacy Policy — ShipmentBot Seller Central Helper

Effective date: June 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the ShipmentBot Seller Central Helper Chrome extension (the “Extension”) collects, uses, and shares information. The Extension is provided by ShipmentBot for use by ShipmentBot account holders.

Summary

The Extension helps ShipmentBot users work Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central support cases. It reads the seller and case identifiers from the page you are viewing, looks up the matching ShipmentBot job, and shows reply templates you can copy. It communicates only with ShipmentBot’s own servers (app.shipmentbot.com). It does not sell your data, and it does not share your data with third parties.

Information the Extension handles

  • Authentication token. When you are signed in to app.shipmentbot.com, the Extension reads your existing ShipmentBot session token and stores it locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so it can make authenticated requests to ShipmentBot on your behalf. The token is never sent anywhere other than ShipmentBot.
  • Page context on Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central. On pages under sellercentral.amazon.com and vendorcentral.amazon.com, the Extension reads the Amazon seller ID, case ID, page URL, and page title to identify the case you are working. This information is sent to ShipmentBot to return the matching job, status, and templates.
  • Action events. When you copy a template, the Extension records that action (which template, and the related case/seller ID) to your ShipmentBot account so the team can see what was done.

The Extension does not read pages outside of Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central and app.shipmentbot.com, and it does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, passwords, or personal content beyond what is described above.

How information is used

Information is used solely to operate the Extension’s single purpose: to connect the Amazon case you are viewing with the corresponding ShipmentBot job and to provide reply templates. ShipmentBot uses the data within your account to power these features and to maintain a record of case activity.

How information is shared

  • ShipmentBot servers only. All network requests go to app.shipmentbot.com over HTTPS.
  • No sale of data. We do not sell or rent your information.
  • No third-party sharing. We do not share your information with advertisers or other third parties. Information may be disclosed only where required by law.

Data storage and retention

  • The authentication token is stored locally in your browser and is removed when you clear extension storage, remove the Extension, or your session expires.
  • Case context and action events transmitted to ShipmentBot are retained within your ShipmentBot account under ShipmentBot’s standard data-retention practices.

Permissions

The Extension requests only the permissions needed for its single purpose:

  • storage — to keep your ShipmentBot token on your device.
  • activeTab and scripting — to read the seller and case identifiers from the Seller Central page you are actively viewing.
  • Host access to *.amazon.com (Seller/Vendor Central) — to detect the current case and seller.
  • Host access to app.shipmentbot.com — to read your session token and call the ShipmentBot API.

Your choices

You can disconnect at any time by signing out of ShipmentBot, removing the Extension, or clearing its storage from chrome://extensions. Removing the Extension deletes the locally stored token.
